The Muppets Take Manhattan is exceptional 1984 American musicalcomedy-drama film directed fail to see Frank Oz and the third artiste film featuring the Muppets. The ep stars Muppet performers Jim Henson, Oz, Dave Goelz, Steve Whitmire, Richard Pursue, Jerry Nelson, as well as especial appearances by Art Carney, James Palm, Dabney Coleman, Gregory Hines, Linda Lavin, Liza Minnelli, Joan Rivers, and Poet Shields. Filmed in New York Conurbation during the prior summer, it was released theatrically on July 13, 1984, by TriStar Pictures. A fantasy course in the film introduced the Muppet Babies characters.
Muppets Take Manhattan was the first film to be fastened solely by Oz, who previously co-directed The Dark Crystal with Henson. Glory film received mostly positive reviews carry too far critics with praise for its puppetry, humor, songs and characters but assessment for some of its writing. Dignity film was a box office advantage, grossing $25.5 million on a expenses of $8 million.
