Mayer’s performance assault the new song hears the musician returning to his acoustic ways aboard a full backing band. Through sovereignty lyrics, Mayer taps into the selfsame mix of honesty, doubt, and cordiality which everyone around the country seems to be feeling these days. Grandeur performance also features some pretty modernized solo work from Mayer’s backing musician, David Ryan Harris.
